At Konkon, we understand that your business data and your customers' trust are your most valuable assets. This Privacy Policy describes how Konkon ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our platform, WhatsApp integration, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide better services to all our users. The types of information we collect include:

  • Account Information: Name, phone number, email address, and business details provided during onboarding.
  • Business Assets: Menu items, prices, business descriptions, logos, and operating hours.
  • Transaction Data: Details of orders processed through Konkon, including customer phone numbers, delivery addresses, and order contents.
  • Financial Data: Settlement bank details provided for Paystack disbursements. Note: We do not store full credit card numbers or raw bank credentials.

2. WhatsApp Business Integration

Konkon acts as a Technical Provider for the WhatsApp Business API. By connecting your WhatsApp account:

  • We process incoming customer messages to identify ordering intent using automated systems.
  • We store message metadata and order-related content to provide you with dashboard analytics and order history.
  • We do not share your private conversations with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Konkon platform and services.
  • To process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and receipts.
  • To coordinate rider dispatch and facilitate real-time delivery tracking.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information as follows:

  • With Service Providers: We share data with Paystack (payment processing), AWS/Google Cloud (hosting), and Mapbox (delivery routing).
  • For Delivery: Necessary customer data (phone number, address) is shared with assigned riders to facilitate delivery.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, such as a subpoena or similar legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain transaction and order data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We also retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage most of your data directly through the Konkon Vendor Dashboard.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for all data in transit. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9. International Transfers

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state or country where the data protection laws may differ from those from your jurisdiction. By using our service, you consent to these transfers.
